With the Daban and Dragon Momoko(DM) MG Strike Freedom kits being released almost at the same time, one of the most noticeable differences was the price. Upon initial release, The DM version cost a lot more than the Daban counterpart.
I feel this price difference is due to this. The Wing Expansion Effect parts for the DM Strike Freedom and the earlier released Destiny Gundam. Currently it is advertised as a "first batch premium" included in the DM Strike Freedom kit. But seeing as this has its own separate box, and that this is from a bootleg company, they wouldn't want to miss the chance to continue earning from this.
I'm expecting that after some time this will be sold separately and that the prices of both the Daban and DM kits would be closer to each other.
Anyway, here's a short review of what this box contains.
The manual is just 1 long piece with one side having instructions for the Strike Freedom Effect parts while the other side has the instructions for Destiny Effect parts.
We get the base for the Destiny which is similar to the one included in Strike Freedom's package.
The wing effects are molded in clear plastic with some glitter effects.
To complete the package, here are some additional pieces for the base stand and some attachment pieces for the destiny.
Here's an image of the effect parts included with the MG Strike Freedom kit. It has the same quality as the one included with the MG Destiny. Another proof that this Wing Expansion Effect parts were to be sold separately.

ReplyDeleteI don't have any comparison between Dragon Momoko and Daban since I only have the DM version and I haven't started building it yet but I don't see why not. Since both companies just copied the same design.

ReplyDeleteno. If you look closely, DM SF and Bandai SF have different wing designs.

ReplyDeleteI don't see any reason not to. Since the DM Destiny is copied from the Metal Build version. If anything else there will just be slight differences due to quality.
