[RANDOM] 1st Gunpla Expo Philippines 2017 part 1
Finally, Gunpla Expo comes to the Philippines! From February 25 to March 5 2017, Bankee, the local distributor of Bandai here in the Philipines, in partnership with Toy Kingdom will host the 1st Gunpla Expo in the Philippines.
The Expo will be held at SM Mall of Asia and features tons of exhibits of different model kits and works of some of the best modelers in the Philippines.
The expo has lots of highlight s like the 3m tall Gundam Statue, a Beargguy diorama with a Philippine theme, a display of works of various GBWC and GMKC Champions, lots of model kits for sale and Expo Limited Items.
I was able to pass by the event on its opening day and there are a lot of people not just checking the event but also buying lots of kits.
I didn't bother going inside to check it out since there was a lot of people there. But I'll be going there on another day to see what's inside. And maybe see a kit that I'd like.
My thoughts on the Expo? Not bad for a 1st. Though there's always room for improvement. Most people complain that the venue is too small. But I think what made it crowded was the long queue at the cashier. Hopefully they get more cashiers or set up the queue at a different area so people can see the displays better. I'm not going to comment regarding the pricing of the kits at the event. But I believe that the organizers did what they can to lower the prices as much as possible. Plus this is a gunpla expo, not gunpla sale. The event aims to exhibit the current kits available specially the expo limited ones.
I'll try to go back around the middle of the week and on the last day of the expo so I could get some idea on the turnout of people that went to the event and see the kits on stock.
